National Botanic Gardens
Established in 1795 an extensive formal garden. Finglas Road, Glasnevin, Dublin, (01 837 7596).

Phoenix Park
A large city park of over 700 hectares with Polo field and Dublin Zoo about 3km from O'Connell street. The oldest building to be seen in Phoenix park is Ashtown Castle which now houses the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre. In the park is Welling Monument a very tall obelisk that marks the Waterloo victory. St Stephen's Green
